Field Day, 2003
Field Day 2003 was absolutely fantastic. With a completely rebuilt 20-meter beam (thanks to WA6PMX), some new antennas, and some AWESOME food provided by John and Debbie Scott, this field day is definitely one to remember. Pictures will be available in the near future.
Field Day, 2002
It is truly amazing how much fun you can have with a group of about 10 people! Though not as many people came to this Field Day, we still managed to successfully run a 5A site for 24 straight hours. You can check out the pictures from this event here.
Field Day, 2001
The 2001 Field Day event was one of WARAs best performances in the contest. We ran as an 8A station! 20 meters in particular gave us a ton of voice contacts. Click here for the FD 2001 thumbnail gallery.
Field Day, 1999
WARAs 1999 Field Day came in as a close second to the 1998 one, held back only by its slightly lower attendance. But only slightly. Again, we had complete teams for nearly every task at hand, and everyone had a great time. Click here for the 1999 thumbnails.
Christmas Party, 1998
The Western Amatuer Radio Association's 1998 Christmas Party was held at the Po Folk's restaurant in Buena Park, CA. Click here for a thumbnail image gallery of pictures taken there.
Field Day, 1998
The 1998 Field Day, centered in the back of Walter Knott Elementry School, proved to be one of the most fun events WARA has ever put on. Many dozens of people showed up to help or participate in all different ways--food, setup or takedown, operating, or just plain curiosity. We also had a small TV news team come out and get some interesting footage. Click here for a thumbnail image gallery of FD 1998 pictures.
